Walt Berghahn is the HCPC’s Executive Director.
Walt Berghan became HCPC's Executive Director in September 2010 after working with the organization in various board and chair positions for over ten years. In 2004, Walt Berghahn joined AmerisourceBergen Packaging Group as Vice President of Packaging Technology. In this position Mr. Berghahn supported AB’s Packaging Group companies by acting as liaison to Trade Associations and industry work groups, monitoring regulatory changes, evaluating their impact on future operations, coordinating technology suppliers to support implementation of changes and recommending appropriate action. Mr. Berghahn has worked on numerous project teams within EPCglobal on Track and Trace initiatives, continued with GS1 Healthcare.
Prior to joining AmerisourceBergen, Mr. Berghahn was with Uhlmann Packaging Systems, a manufacturer of packaging machinery for the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Berghahn held a variety of positions at Uhlman including Director of Marketing and Business Development (2004), Director of Sales and Marketing North America (1999-2004), and Manager of East Coast Sales (1996-1999). Mr Berghahn was also Manager, Machinery Sales North America at American Fuji Seal and a Regional Manager, Machinery Sales, Rodico Inc. Mr. Berghahn holds a B.S. from Rutgers University College of Engineering with a Degree in Packaging Engineering.

Victoria Welch is the HCPC's Communications Director.
Victoria Welch joined the HCPC as its Communications Director in October 2009. Ms. Welch is the former director of marketing communications for Reynolds/Alcoa Flexible Packaging. During Ms. Welch’s 19 years at Reynolds/Alcoa, she gained extensive experience in internal and external communications for these Fortune 500 firms, and directed the following marketing communications responsibilities: advertising, public relations, direct customer promotions, tradeshows, website development, newsletters, promotions, national sales/distributor meetings and special events. Ms. Welch is experienced at strategezing and executing multiple business unit communications for a broad portfolio of products. She has developed communications for multiple industries including the healthcare, food and beverage, confectionery, medical, tobacco and industrial markets. Ms. Welch also gained valuable marketing management experience within healthcare packaging when she managed the laminated products and blister lidding specifications for Reynolds Flexible Packaging’s Healthcare Packaging business. Ms. Welch also represented Reynolds/Alcoa on strategic industry associations including Flexible Packaging Association, the Vinyl Institute, IoPP, and Green Blue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition. Prior to Reynolds, Ms. Welch fulfilled a number of responsibilities for AdMark, Ltd., a Richmond, VA advertising agency, including account management, copywriting, art directing and agency management. |

Kevin Carter is the Director of Business Development for McKesson’s US Pharmaceutical Packaging consisting of both RxPak and Sky Packaging business units.
Kevin’s career spans nearly twenty years in the pharmaceutical packaging industry. He has held various positions in materials manufacturing, processing, technical support, and product development, as well as packaging machinery sales. Recognized as an innovator in the development of packaging materials, Kevin holds the U.S. and international patents for his blister material design that is in widespread use today by leading manufacturers.
Today Kevin is responsible for oversight of strategic planning and positioning for all aspects of McKesson’s packaging solutions. He collaborates with manufacturers and retailers in the pharmaceutical industry to develop value-added solutions that combine McKesson’s broad range of services in packaging, managed care, patient adherence, and pharmaceutical distribution. Over the past four years, Kevin has been instrumental in bringing packaging technologies and capabilities to RxPak including the patented, award-winning Burgopak compliance package.

Melissa Green is the Global Strategic Marketing Manager for the Healthcare Business within the Healthcare & Packaging Business at Honeywell International. Her responsibilities include leading new product development projects, supporting the business with in-depth customer "Voice of the Customer" analyses, competitor and channel analysis, brand management and promotional marketing. Prior to the Strategic Marketing role, Melissa has held various positions within Honeywell's Healthcare & Packaging business; Global Product Manager for Aclar® Film and Healthcare Marketing Manager - all supporting the growth of push thru packaging with Aclar® film. She has been a corporate member of HCPC since 2002 and has participated in various compliance and patient adherence initiatives within Honeywell. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and a Masters in Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College.

Markus Haid is the Managing Director for Uhlmann Packaging Systems, LP. Markus worked from 1982 to 1994 for Boehringer Ingelheim in their Facility in Biberach Germany in various technical support functions, last in the packaging
department. He then moved to Uhlmann Pac-Systeme where he had the opportunity to work with many International Customers in many locations in Europe, Asia, North and South America. In 1998 Markus moved to the United States, working for Uhlmann Packaging Systems LP in various lead roles responsible for customer services.

Dr. Ted Lithgow is the scientific and commercial lead for MWV's healthcare business. He is responsible for setting direction, and facilitating commercial strategy and implementation for all MWV adherence products targeted for pharmaceutical and retail customers and for healthcare professionals. Prior to joining MWV, Dr. Lithgow served as senior commercial lead and representative of global prescription pharmaceutical (GPB) development programs, with additional responsibility for all cross-customer and divisional initiatives and processes at Schering-Plough. He was a member of the Global Business Management Team, the corporation’s Research Leadership Committee, the Exploratory Development Committee, and Pharmaceutical Leadership Board governing bodies. Prior to Schering-Plough, Dr. Lithgow served as president of commercial operations and emerging technologies at Pharmacia Corporation. director of new products marketing, global CNS, psychiatry and neurology at Wyeth Corporation and previous director, US women’s health care, prescription therapeutics, contraception, and reproductive disorders. Dr. Lithgow's extensive OTC experience includes R&D project management, and brand management for Zantac 75, Lubriderm Lotion, Neosporin First Aid, and Rolaids.

Mike Riley has been operating in the Pharmaceutical Packaging Business for the last 20 years with the past 15 years at Klöckner Pentaplast. Mike has served multiple positions within the company including National Accounts Manager, Pharmaceutical Business Unit Manager and finally, Global Accounts Manager. Mike has been associated with the HCPC since its' inception and looks forward to continuing that relationship for the next several years.

Justin Schroeder is the HCPC’s Board of Directors Vice Chairman.
Justin Schroeder is the Senior Director, Marketing & Development Services at Anderson Packaging Inc., part of the AmerisourceBergen Packaging Group. Mr.Schroeder is responsible for new account development and global marketing, with a focus on the development and commercialization of unit dose and compliance prompting packaging. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the School of Packaging at Michigan State University, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Northern Illinois University. Mr. Schroeder has been at Anderson since 2000, holding positions including Process Development / Packaging Engineer, Customer Project Manager, and Director of Project Management and Planning. Previously, Mr. Schroeder held package engineering positions with Hershey Foods Corp and at the J.M. Smucker Co. (Smucker's). Mr. Schroeder is an IoPP Certified Packaging Professional and has been an HCPC Board member since 2008.

Bill Sharpless is the HCPC’s Board of Directors Chairman.
Bill Sharpless has been a corporate member of HCPC since 1999 and has held a Board of Directors position since 2005. He has addressed compliance and patient adherence packaging issues with ranking staff members of the Food & Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services and the United States Congress. In February 2009 Bill joined Winpak Packaging where he is the Business Development Manager over their Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Packaging Division. His prior pharmaceutical packaging experience includes being the Global Marketing Director at Alcoa/Reynolds for their Pharmaceutical and Medical Packaging division. He was also a Market Development Manager for the Healthcare segment for Honeywell’s Specialty Films division.
In 1979, Bill began a 20 year career in pharmaceutical sales where he worked with leading pharmaceutical companies McNeil, Ivax and DuPont-Merck, holding positions as a sales representative, hospital specialist, district manager, field sales and national accounts manager. Bill is a 1974 graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College with a BS degree in Medical Science. Upon graduation, he practiced medicine for five years as a Physician Assistant within family practice and general surgery prior to entering the pharmaceutical sales arena.

John Steenkamer is the HCPC’s Board of Directors Treasurer.
With over 20 years of experience in unit dose packaging materials and a MBA from the University of Delaware, John Steenkamer is Constantia Hueck Foils Business Manager, Pharmaceutical. With broad experience involving unit dose forming and sealant webs, Mr. Steenkamer is primarily responsible for a growth role integrating packaging solution options into multi-national pharmaceutical companies. Prior, Mr. Steenkamer worked for Klockner Pentaplast and American Mirrex Corporation in a full spectrum of commercial, technical and operational capacities.
Craig Taylor is the Sales Manager for Tekni-Films Brands at Tekni-Plex, Inc. Craig has 32 years in sales and marketing within the pharmaceutical and medical device packaging industry and has quite a perspective and appreciation on the subject of compliant packaging. During his packaging career, Craig has marketed a myriad of packaging designs including tubing vials, bottles, injection and extrusion molded components, CR and TE closures, liners, lidding foil, blister films, and pouches, and the issue of compliancy continues to be of utmost concern during the development stages of package protection and development. Prior to his arrival at Tekni-Plex in 2001, Craig has held positions at Comar, Inc. and Kerr, Inc.
