Current Research Projects
MD Anderson Study
Development of a research project supported by HCPC has been underway for more than a year at theMD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas, Houston. This research project seeks to compare adherence rates between traditional cap-and-vial packages versus blister formats with compliance prompting features when consumers are taking multiple medications. Electronic monitoring devices will be attached to blister cards and pharmacy vials used in the study to record adherence rates. The study is expected to formally commence the 2nd quarter of 2010 with final results expected by the end of the year.
