Walt Berghan became HCPC’s Executive Director in September 2010 after working with the organization in various board and chair positions for over ten years. In 2004, Walt Berghahn joined AmerisourceBergen Packaging Group as Vice President of Packaging Technology. In this position Mr. Berghahn supported AB’s Packaging Group companies by acting as liaison to Trade Associations and industry work groups, monitoring regulatory changes, evaluating their impact on future operations, coordinating technology suppliers to support implementation of changes and recommending appropriate action. Mr. Berghahn has worked on numerous project teams within EPCglobal on Track and Trace initiatives, continued with GS1 Healthcare.
Prior to joining AmerisourceBergen, Mr. Berghahn was with Uhlmann Packaging Systems, a manufacturer of packaging machinery for the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Berghahn held a variety of positions at Uhlman including Director of Marketing and Business Development (2004), Director of Sales and Marketing North America (1999-2004), and Manager of East Coast Sales (1996-1999). Mr Berghahn was also Manager, Machinery Sales North America at American Fuji Seal and a Regional Manager, Machinery Sales, Rodico Inc. Mr. Berghahn holds a B.S. from Rutgers University College of Engineering with a Degree in Packaging Engineering.

Victoria Welch joined the HCPC as its Communications Director in October 2009. Ms. Welch is the former director of marketing communications for Reynolds/Alcoa Flexible Packaging. During Ms. Welch’s 19 years at Reynolds/Alcoa, she gained extensive experience in internal and external communications for these Fortune 500 firms, and directed the following marketing communications responsibilities: advertising, public relations, direct customer promotions, tradeshows, website development, newsletters, promotions, national sales/distributor meetings and special events. Ms. Welch is experienced at strategezing and executing multiple business unit communications for a broad portfolio of products. She has developed communications for multiple industries including the healthcare, food and beverage, confectionery, medical, tobacco and industrial markets. Ms. Welch also gained valuable marketing management experience within healthcare packaging when she managed the laminated products and blister lidding specifications for Reynolds Flexible Packaging’s Healthcare Packaging business. Ms. Welch also represented Reynolds/Alcoa on strategic industry associations including Flexible Packaging Association, the Vinyl Institute, IoPP, and Green Blue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition. Prior to Reynolds, Ms. Welch fulfilled a number of responsibilities for AdMark, Ltd., a Richmond, VA advertising agency, including account management, copywriting, art directing and agency management.
John Chatillon is Key Account Manager for Liveo Research. John’s packaging expertise includes a technical understanding of high barrier pharmaceutical blister films, thermoformable medical device sheet, push-through and child resistant blister lidding foils and pouch materials. As a key account manager for Liveo Research, John is well versed in Liveo’s solid dose degradation stability studies resulting in proper packaging barrier selection. Professional background includes positions in product management, sales & marketing management, business development and direct sales with Reynolds Metals Company, INEOS Films, Tekni-Plex, Winpak and Liveo Research. John earned an AB in Economics from Lafayette College.

Melissa Green is the Global Senior Director, Marketing and Strategy for Tekni-Plex’s Films business. Her responsibilities include helping set the strategic direction for the business in the pharmaceutical and medical device markets. She also leads and assists with new product development projects and supports the business with gathering market and customer facing information to help set the strategic direction of the business while also creating tactical targets for the business to pursue. Prior to Tekni-Plex, Melissa held a variety of roles within Honeywell’s Healthcare business and had previously served on the HCPC board. Melissa has been a corporate member of HCPC since 2002 and a strong personal advocate for medication compliance. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and a Masters in Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College. Melissa is current Vice Chairman for the HCPC.

Based in Morris Plains, NJ, Ralph is the Global Account Manager for Klockner Pentaplast.
Prior to joining Klockner Pentaplast in July 2012, Ralph’s career in Healthcare Packaging spanned over 18 years working in the areas of primary and secondary packaging. Previous to Klockner Pentaplast, he was with Honeywell’s Healthcare and Packaging Group as a Marketing Manager. In addition, Ralph was with StoraEnso’s Pharmaceutical Solutions Group as the North America Sales and Marketing Manager (2004-2011) where he introduced the award winning Pharma DDSi compliance package. Prior to that, he was with MeadWestvaco’s Healthcare & Packaging Group as an Account Manager(1998-2004 ). Ralph’s work encompasses special projects with Pharma end users to improve patient outcomes through innovations and applications including: unit dose blister packaging, intelligent electronic packaging & RFID and adherence and managed care programs. Ralph has worked with the pharmaceutical and managed care industries as well as pharmacists. Ralph has been active on the HCPC Board for a number of years and has been the Chairman of the HCPC Board for the 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 terms.

Tim Morris is Key Account Manager for Amcor Pharmaceutical Flexible Packaging. Tim has been with Amcor since 1995 and for the last 12 years, has worked exclusively with major consumers of pharmaceutical flexible packaging – Big Pharma, Generic, Over the Counter, and Contract Packagers. His experience covers every type of unit dose blister packaging – lidding materials, cold form foils, and barrier thermoform materials. He has also worked extensively in sachet packaging used for Transdermal and the Blow Fill Seal industry. He successfully led Amcor teams that brought two innovative products to the pharmaceutical flexible market that garnered prestigious industry awards
Prior to Amcor, Tim was with American Packaging, beginning in 1989, and was with Mobil Chemical/Films Division in 1983.
Tim received his Masters of Business Administration – Finance/Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh in 1979 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington & Jefferson College with a Economics B. A. in 1978. Tim has served in the military as Captain, USAR Adjutant General Corps and Company Commander, Internal Auditor General Staff, P & A Officer. Tim has been a Big Brother Mentor since 2008 and since 1974 has been a Little League Baseball & Softball Umpire.

Matt Rayner is the Executive Director of Operations at Legacy Pharmaceutical Packaging in St. Louis, Missouri. Matt has worked at Legacy for over 10 years and has broad experience in Operations leading his team through tremendous growth the past 5 years installing 12 new packaging lines which includes fully integrated high speed compliance packaging lines. Mr. Rayner has also successfully consolidated Legacy’s packaging operations into a 189,000sq ft. facility. Matt collaborates and works closely with Business Development and Sales to evaluate new business opportunities. In addition, Matt is currently leading the Legacy team towards full Serialization. Matt is the current HCPC Board Chairman.

Justin Schroeder is the Executive Director, Marketing, Business Development & Design at PCI Pharma Services, a global end-to-end pharmaceutical packaging company. Justin is responsible for new account development and global marketing, with a focus on the development and commercialization of unit dose and compliance-prompting packaging. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the School of Packaging at Michigan State University, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Northern Illinois University. Justin has been at PCI, formerly Anderson Packaging, since 2000, holding positions including Process Development-Packaging Engineer, Customer Project Manager, and Director of Project Management and Planning. Previously, Justin held package engineering positions with Hershey Foods Corp and at the J.M. Smucker Co. (Smucker’s). Justin is an IoPP Certified Packaging Professional and has been an HCPC Board member since 2008 and has been Vice Chairman for three terms during his tenure.

Jerry Buchanan has over 30 years’ experience in the Chemical Industry providing solutions to such diverse markets as Architectural & Residential Glass, Containers, paper products, food packaging, Photovoltaic Modules, and Healthcare Packaging.
He started his career in research and development at Arkema with a focus on novel material development for applications in the glass industry and co-authored several patents. He eventually transitioned to Sales & Marketing and, after several promotions through the commercial & corporate organization, eventually led an intracompany start-up in 2009 at Honeywell. In 2015, he was recruited to work in a Private Equity portfolio company to assist in a turnaround. After the turnaround was complete, he recently returned to Honeywell as Director of Product Management for the Aclar® Healthcare Business.
Jerry resides in Easton, Pennsylvania. He earned a BS and MS in chemical engineering from Rutgers University. Jerry is currently Board Treasurer.

Chris joined the Constantia Flexibles’ Pharma Division team in July 2014. With over 6 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical flexibles packaging arena, a core competency developed in providing the right solution for both product and customer. Driven by value creation for all stakeholders, development of region is evident year-to-year.
Past experience in management and customer service coupled with educational focus in pharmaceutical and healthcare affords a strong foundation for his current Business Manager functions and aspirations for the future.
Chris attended the University of South Carolina where he earned a BSBA with a focus on Management & Business Economics. He obtained his MBA in Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University.
